Glendon College is a part of York University in Toronto, Ontario. At Glendon, I was in the Drama Studies program, which isn’t quite the same as a regular theatre program. Most of the classes are more literature based; studying theatre through plays. There were some more technical classes though and we did have a small black box theatre where we would mount a number of productions each year. Glendon was where I decided that I wanted to pursue costume and I spent my time there designing and making costumes and dressing shows. There wasn’t a costume instructor so I kind of flew by the seat of my pants and muddled through on my own. Looking back, I was not nearly as good a sewer as I thought I was but I am still proud of the work I did and I still like many of the ideas I had.
